The British invasion of metalcore continues with 'Stand Up and Scream', the debut LP (of sorts) from Asking Alexandria. Apart from glimpses of Danny Worsnop's English accent, the quintet differentiate themselves by infusing synths to give off a mild trancecore effect. Unfortunately, most tracks are still repetitive with the breakdown-heavy formula wearing thin before the 48 minutes are up. Sub-par lyrics are delivered by vocals that run the gamut of screams, growls & melodic cleans, but the band are incapable of standing still long enough to capitalize on some decent segments. Recommended Tracks: I Used to Have a Best Friend, ...Cowboy King & A Candlelit Dinner with Inamorta.

Is it a girl? Or is it Bill Beckett? Never knew he had this side to him... either way, it's hot.

EDIT: Well, in that MV three years ago... not so much now. Man he can't even do squats or pushups. How lame.

The Ultimate Warrior epsidoe being my first experience to this band...gotta say that Not The American Average is a pretty catchy tune. especially with that heartwarming bridge starting at 3:27.
