cartoons and macrame wounds, introducing palace players and hawaii pretty much destroys anything on any other mew album and to be honest anything on any other album by anyone

and the reprise for that matter and i guess the intermezzos

Album is beautiful; they've basically created their own genre. Vocals are totally unique, and though not every song may be as strong as some on Frengers, I think their new dynamic, and flow from song to song, is worlds above. End of Tricks of the Trade is genius.

Seriously. NMS feels like a solid 4, a 4.5 if I'm in Mew listening mood. Frengers always feels like a 4.5 or 5.

Also, A Triumph For Man needs more love. Great driving album.

I've honestly only heard ATGHK once through like a week ago. It was okay listen for me. I remember loving "The Seething Rain Weeps for You" "the Zookeeper's Boy" "Saviours of Jazz Ballet", and the last four songs (Mew ballads ftw). I don't know if it's better than this yet.
