I hope Brand New's new albums is better than Thrice's... Other than a few stand outs, this album is kind of a doozie.

I kind of like this album, but there are some parts when dustin is just trying a little too hard. like the last song "beggars" - i am not a fan of that style. i do like "the weight" though. good song.



and i really wish that the end of "circles" had some more creativity. maybe it wouldnt fit with the record, but the drums really needed more power and ...well something. i almost wish i could have stepped into the studio with them and added a little more pizzaz. then again, i realize this wouldnt really fit with the album as a whole.



first time i listened to this was in my car. the first half got me to work (sorta) and the second half got me home from work (almost fell asleep). so overall, i think this is a good album for either sleeping or doing homework.
