I've always liked In Utero better, I'm not a big fan of the production on this one. Lounge Act, In Bloom and On A Plain are great songs, though.

And yes, extremely overrated record by an extremely overrated band.

I think that the "hate" that they get evens out their praise. I don't really think they were that overrated.

When I say overrated I also mean the hate that they get. Like the die-hard metalheads who say that Nirvana (somehow) ruined 90s metal. Placing that much importance on a band on either side of the fence is giving them more credit than they deserve.

They changed the face of music (for the better), ushered in a whole new movement and brought alternative rock to the mainstream.

They also happened to be an EXCELLENT band, with one of the greatest frontmen rock has ever seen.

Nevermind is inferior to In Utero, but it's still a brilliant record

They deserve all the praise they get

Pretty much agree with Titan. Though Cobain wasn't the most technically talented person, he still could write some great songs

He did how to write a catchy tune, all I said was that they aren't teh bestest band evar omg like so many Nirvana fans claim. Kurt himself said that other bands before Nirvana did it better.

"Nevermind is inferior to In Utero, but it's still a brilliant record"

This I can agree with, I'm just not too crazy about the production on this album. It doesn't feel very....Nirvana-y.
