How can you not hear it? Pretty. Odd was Beatles worship, it was awkward and a poor shift... If you like this album, you have to note that Vices & Virtues is closer to what they were on this one.

Vices is a really solid album that practically is a debut when you consider the band changes that took place.

True, but it was too far out of their comfort zone imo. There were 2 or 3 strong tracks on there, but that was about it.

Yeah, something has to be a bridge between the solos.

Now that's going a little too far.

Hey, I'm not immature. I just don't like aping the Beatles as a form of artistic change. They were trying. So hard. They even recorded it in Abbey Road. Which, again, is not to say there wasn't stuff to enjoy off of it.

I'm the first to support change, but a lot of that didn't feel natural at all. And if they had stuck to it, I'd come around and just say it adds up to what they want. But considering the schism it caused in the band... I feel Vices & Virtues allows me to say; I rest my case.

Everyone's talking like that in 20 years time, this will be seen as a classic.

I wonder if harmonic pop was scene music in the 60s! ;-)

My issue isn't that it's chiller, though. That's okay, too.

Personally, my clock tells me a lot of things. And I hear it talking to me even when I'm not near it. It tells me to do bad things, but I don't listen.
