What is even more mad is that they follow it up with an album which is just as creative.

I was told by a friend of mine about this album. Jesus christ, this sounds terrible. I get that it is experimental music but just listening to the first few tracks made me lose my sanity and hoping that I can get through listening to this thing. This is my opinion so if people still look on this page, don't start some beef over this.

Damn ,Godflesh ripped them hard .

In many ways, yes, Godflesh could be seen as just a sum of Big Black and Swans. (Locust Furnace) But Godflesh do have moments that demonstrate a style of their own. Christbait Rising seems to have had an influence on Nu-metal of the future with its hip hop influenced drum beat and aggressive riff. The guitar ambience on Streetcleaner does resemble Cop in many ways but also breaks into new extremes on Dream Long Dead and Head Dirt. It is the way they combine elements of the past that makes them unique.

| |
Also the noisy guitar ambience in a metal context was a big influence on post-metal music.

"Godflesh could be seen as just a sum of Big Black and Swans"
Yeah I've always thought that.
