Yeah, only a few songs on this album still hit well for me. A lot of it reminds me of why I liked it primarily when I was a teenager. Thursday only got better over each album IMO.

Insanely good album but I'm sorry the guitarist's harsh vocals sound like shit.

Better than Geoff’s screams on this

I love the harsh vocals, personally.

I'm dumb, pretty sure I got the two mixed up. Geoff's harsh vocals annoy me but if that's Steve at the end of Cross Out the Eyes then yeah, his are way better.

Yeah Steve is the one who actually sounds like he's screaming (basically all of the harsh vocals on Cross out the Eyes), Geoff sounds like he's having an asthma attack. His screams do become better on later releases. They're still not very orthodox, but far better than what he does on here

That's what I found aggravating listening to this. The music is great though.

might be blasphemy, but with Thrice just doing their re-release I'd love to hear this album with the production style from their later albums paired with Geoff's vocals now

that'd be pretty neat, I really appreciated Thursday's direction throughout their career for the most part

Gmember, while it's not the same they did release Full Collapse and War All the Time in a live format recently. Might help scratch that particular itch you have

Geoff's skramz circa Common Existence were killer and I would lurve to hear this rerecorded as such
...but not as much as I'd love to hear a CE remaster. Their most underappreciated album by a mile and the one that suffered most from the loudness war. This album is a glorious time capsule and can stay unchanged as such, but that one never rly got its due and is several notches stronger end to end

This album rules. I never made it much farther than this. I heard War All the Time once but don't remember anything about it. Hmm would be fun to hear a new live version of this.

^ Agreed! Amazing album

War All the Time is a much better album to me. The increase in the band's musicianship and composition is immediately noticeable on just the first song. It's hard to come back to this one aside from a couple songs, namely Understanding...and Standing on the Edge of Summer.
