Probably yea, I doubt there will be much middle ground for a release like this.
On a side not this is pretty shitty
New The Used guitarist, Justin Shekoski, has posted an Instagram about joining the band and leaving Saosin.
"In light of this news, after years of writing and waiting to produce a new record, some of the members of Saosin have decided to end our 13 year relationship for questionable reasons. This was a shock to me. Even though all of this happened a few months ago, I’m still processing it. I’m sure I’ll discuss this in greater detail at a later time. One thing I can be sure of is that I could not and would not have done anything differently over the past years. The shows were some of the best we have ever played. It truly seemed as if everyone was happy and positivity was at an all-time high. I was proud of the new music we were creating and to be turned away right before we tracked the record that we had spent years writing and our entire career working towards is saddening at best and angering at worst."

Wait, what? I wonder what happened to cause that. I'm not entirely sure how to process that. That's just kinda bizarre of them to suddenly part ways like that. What if the rest of saosin got mad with justin for performing with someone else?
I just hope the resulting music is good.

Anthony Green just posted a teaser of a new Saosin song (and album) with him on vocals. Teaser sounded pretty good, so I'm tentatively excited.

I'm going to see them on March 11 with an old buddy. Hard to believe this came out in 2003. Crazy how time flies...

Their s/t is the most nostalgic album for me ever so I just can't hate it. This is objectively better though I'd say. Hoping for more of this.

Their self titled wasn't terrible, it just wasn't fucking saosin.
Cove stopped trying and the band focused on writing radio singles it was obvious Anthony was the artistic drive.

Honestly I love all they have done. Translating is the only album that actually attempted to transcend the genre though IMO. I love Cove's voice in their s/t however, don't care what anyone says. I've heard he was straight garbage live.
