I think the best way for people to first experience this album would be to put them alone in a dark room with a blindfold and headphones on at max volume, without saying much about the record or the band beforehand.

Imagine listening to the bends in its entirety for the first time while feeling that sort of isolation. You'd be in tears by the time it got to the final half minute of ear rape distortion.

i mean i can get it if you haven't really listened to any harsh noise or noise rock on the more noisey side but yeah it's not too out there for those genres

but like i haven't heard anything even close to a lot of the other tracks on here

The Bends isn't out there genre wise, just in delivery

Freewheeling noise jazz ain't nothing revolutionary, but in an ambient, nautically-themed suite like that? Damn

Bends is extremely ominous. Hence why it would work best in a dark setting.
