The only thing I've come across that rivals this is James Blake's LP. Mount Kimbie is awesome but not as good. Although I will be checking out Clubroot later today, we'll see if that changes my mind

No, admittedly this site does ride Burial's dick harder than they probably should
My opinion on the majority of this site (yes, there are exceptions of course) are that there are far too many people who picked up Untrue based on all they hype it got (which is fine, and justified) but now claim that because they've heard that that they now know dubstep despite the fact they've never heard anything else. They'll just sit and wait until the next hype magnet comes along, all the while telling people "just get Burial, it's all you need" when people ask for dubstep recs

I don't think everybody who likes him think he's "the be all end all of this genre"
adam downer mentioned burial in a review once i think that proves it

This is true for many. Then there are the few that have heard burial and actually go out once in a while so they're like "Burial is the only good dubstep the rest is 100% wompwompwomp"

Wolfgang Gartner's Space Junk is my dubstep jam atm.

Or the people who go:
"Dubstep is shit, it's all wubwubwubwub"
"What about Burial?"
"Burial's cool, but I wouldn't call that dubstep"

I heard of Burial through this site, where it was receiving all kinds of hype but I still went into it with a clear head. I know that this isn't the full stop as far as dubstep is concerned but not much comes close from what I've heard (though I haven't heard loads). I do realise though, that Burial is just a small part of a massive scene at the moment

Zomby's where were u in '92, Stenchman's Abyss and Silkie's City Limits Vol.1 are all on par with Untrue and his s/t too. But hardly anyone here has heard those really yet Burial is still deemed to be the definitive.
I've even had people come to me directly as they didn't want to post a list as all they'd get was BURIAL LOL.

skrillex is the definitive dubstep

No, he's just dubstep for the masses with catchy hooks.
