it seems to me the only complaint people have with this album is the incomprehensible lyrics. do you really have to understand what the singer says to like the band? i mean really.

Yeah, that was definitely my biggest hurdle when trying to get into the band. But I don't know, it's such an emotional album; it fits.

Lets not forget the fact that his scream is monotonously annoying! So there is two complaints now hahaha.

Bannon's vocals rule... listen to Heaven in Her Arms and tell me he doesn't send shivers down your spine.

Plus the vocals aren't even mixed that high, don't see how they could be that annoying.

They have never sat well with me but I will relisten to Heaven in Her Arms again to try and understand your point. I just don't think any effort went into screaming into a mic and doing the vocals, in what sounds like a one shot deal. Vocals also sound like they are mixed high which is odd. It's their music that really does it for me. Pumps me up for sure.

idk about you but I don't really see the vocals as being mixed high, they definitely don't overpower the music.

Have to say that this album really does strike me as one of the all time greats in any genre. Def my favourite Converge album but my fav song is "Trophy Scars", never fails to bring me out in goosebumps!
