This album is amazing, I don't get the hate. With most Metal albums I find the album always gets repetitive near the end, but this is the only album I've ever heard (and I've heard all the classic Metal albums) that doesn't get repetitive, as every song is different.



If people thought it sucked because it wasn't heavy enough, then try to broaden your musical taste. Not everything has to be heavy to be good, and their early stuff really wasn't very good (that's coming from a huge A7X fan here), with M Shadows frequently wasting his talent etc.

I love Avenged Sevenfold, but they don't deserve to get the recognition of many great metal acts. This album wasn't made for metal purists who may have enjoyed Waking The Fallen. I think this is just above mediocre music but not a hair more.

This album is really getting on my nerves. Most tracks have those stupid gimmicks (voice box, children's chorus, circus, Nu Metal, hardcore sex, M. Shadows).

It sucks a whole lot more than the other gimmicks.

Yeah that song is really weird. Good, but weird.

I think, and im not sure if it is true, that most people simply look at the kind of music that A7X used to put out and compare this album to their older ones. I definitely think that this album is the worst out of their 4. But I don't try to think of how good old A7X is. I try to see this album as an entirely different band and all the music on it I think is great. (Except for Dear God which really just is a piece of shit.)

alexvarkatzas92 I totally separate this album from "old a7x" and it is still godawful shit. if Britney Spears put this out I wouldn't consider it anything close to improvement.

Listening to this album is like being one of those two girls in those "two girls one cup" vids.
