It is:
-Overtly bombastic
-Superbly pretentious
-Incredibly conceited
-Absolutely over-the-top
-Way too much
-Jarringly stop-start
Yet it contains so much of the facets that would be more pronounced/more streamlined on later records, in an embryonic, triumphant, enthusiastic, excited, alive way. They were restlessly trying out new things here. It is an incredible record. Plus you've got all the Blake stuff as an added bonus, and William Blake is amazing and cool and awesome. Also I love all the musical ideas and the riffs are fantastic and Garm is passionate etc. etc. etc. To me this is a hardcore love love love 5.0.
