This is another example of a typical sputnikmusic review where a pseudo-intellectual who is clueless and immensely ignorant in regards to anything that defines heavy metal music demolishes and buries one of THE landmark releases of the genre of the past 10 years...this is the only site on the internet where people bury albums such as master of puppets, reign in blood, vulgar display of power and the blackening...the review is fueled with hatred and dislike towards the band with non-existent arguments and no reference to the music/orchestration/performance...
Users on this site should be banned from reviews and only the staff should compose them...it is not the first time that someone who simply dislikes a band (thats their right ofcourse) writes a review for that same band just to satisfy his/her pretentious, complexic and self-absorbed dysfunctional state...enough is enough....the moderators have a responsibility of regulating this...either review the reviews or don't allow users to write them...reviews of this sort only lower the level of this site and what it tries to achieve...
If your a Machine Head fanboy, it's whatever but you shouldn't trash other peoples opinions of the album. Just because you don't see what they see in it doesn't make their argument any less valid. When it comes to this site, some people are very harsh about their ratings, but that's mostly attributed to the fact that because they have been around here, they've been introduced to so much new (and generally better music). Plus albums like MOP or RB get just as much respect as flak, so I don't even know where that argument would come from.

it's not about being a fanboy you lame individuals...its about the fact that this site has repeatedly trashed landmark albums in a self-pretentious pseudo intellectual form which in the end only humiliates the users and anyone visiting it more than twice per month....reign in blood, master of puppets and now the blackening have indeed been trashed here and i would suggest you to do some research before opening your 15-year old ignorant mouth to say anything...i dare you....check out the reviews for the above albums and we will speak again...THIS IS A SHIT FOR BRAINS SITE....i only visit it every now and then to gather ridiculous info as the above rating and review or witness your childish lists in order to then circulate them on other REAL metal sites and humiliate you and laugh AT YOU with REAL music fans...on one of these sites we even have a thread called "Sputnik Foundation For Clueless & Retarted Music Fans".
Finally I'm not a machine head fan boy but to rate this album of all albums with a [1] then you MUST be retarted....if its not your cup of tea its one thing but an objective and educated musical fan would have been able to understand WHY this album was praised so much when it was released...the reviewer and everyone who commented after my post obviously are lacking the iq capacity to get that and that makes you the only 4-5 retarted individuals globally who cant understand an incredible piece of music...you have been measured and you have been found wanting...ridiculous ignorant and illiterate lil men...

I am just incredibly curious as to what it takes to meet all your god like music tastes that are refined and tuned beyond comprehension.
Just listen to music, find something that has groove based on your own personal taste, and enjoy; Why people here are so critical and judgemental on absolutely anything that is released and even more established is beyond me. Prehaps people who post negative garbage here lack self-respect and resort to online comment threads to show off an artificial sense of power and discernment to compensate for their less than glamorous, ragged realities.
And to be honest, I'm not even a huge machine head fan, I just find their music has presence and I was blown away by this album (exactly in the same manner as 95% of the metal community was) but I just had to take a step back and look at you retarDed individuals argue hopelessly by forming ridiculous arbitrary opinions on what is or isnt good about this specific album. I have only seen this behavior here on sputnik since I have joined recently; I am just blown away by the ignorance and stupidity flourishing here. B A D review R E T A R D E D rating. End of story.

honestly, 2 out of 8 reviews gave this album a bad score, look at most of the people's ratings that you are arguing to and you see, they even like it. Hell the album has got a fucking FOUR in the overall rating of sputnik, one staffer (who wasn't even a staff member when he wrote this) didn't like it...so fucking what?
