what sets this above many of their later releases for me is the guitar work. on this and watch out we hear the guitars doing all sorts of interesting stuff, playing off each other and around Green's melodies. on their later stuff the guitars become less the focus, to me it comes off as lazy, but apparently some people like it.

fucking love those dirty delays on pulmonary archery and watch out

The Kennedy Curse is amazing.

And yeah, Dallas is a very good guitarist.

If it was Dallas' cleans that bothered you than this is definitely the album you would be best suited for cause his vocal role is way more limited here than on later albums.

actually i never minded green here. i just can't stand city & color (i refuse to spell it w/ the 'u' because 'merica). it was the other dude i didn't like. but that was a long time ago and i like to think i'm more open minded now.

George gets worse every album so he's at his freshest here. On Cardinals he's basically half dead.

Half dead lol

I always considered him to be the weakest link in the band. His tone is incredibly unrefined.

theyve put up a playlist of bands that inspired them while making this record and thheir are some skramz bands in their. thought that was interesting cos ppl have always mentioned how this sorta toes the line between that old skramzy style and newer emoey post hardcore at points
