just checked sweet off of that description pretty good stuff. does sound like a better version of tocs underoath which isnt rlly hitting the itch of what i liked about 2006-2010 underoath so much but who knows they could get there eventually they defo got potential (and it goes without saying theyre way fucking better than current uo lmao)

Heavy UO > soft UO, but that doesn't mean they can't knock softer/catchier stuff out of the park (a la TOCS). But this still just is mediocre at best. Like its fine if you like it, to each their own, but there is nothing special about this album. tons of other albums out there in this style

tbh what sets this apart from the other copycats is it just has a more real feel to me that's hard to explain without coming off like im a decade younger, and most of them don't have a song as good as "no frame" in their arsenal

i don't hear a massive change in authenticity at all, and i view the addition of swearing here similarly to when Linkin Park went two albums without profanity just to add it on the first actual song from Minutes to Midnight, it just felt right there. like its hard for me to fathom this being fake and phoned in but similar tracks from Disambig (Paper Lung) as 100% authentic and real tbh

This album is just boring dad rock, so yeah like Reli said it makes sense you'd compare it to LP cause thats exactly what this is but arguably worse. Even bmth does this better. This is just stale boo boo.

nah i just mean i don't hear a big difference in terms of how real it feels, both hit like a truck for me. main difference is probably production. musically they're both relatively simple arrangements. Linkin Park were great in their heyday, i don't think they truly got the respect they deserved after Meteora on sites like this.
as for my album, i expect it to get ripped just for sounding too "2000s alt" for the sites tastes lol
