^ pretty much on the money
Incredibly solid track don't get me wrong, but it wasn't as huge of a statement as Clockworks or Born In Dissonance

it’s hard to beat the impact of Bleed or Clockworks for sure, especially with the help of the music videos. great visual work overall from the band, except this time lmao what is that? Terminator 2032? “Connor. I. have. a. knife.” headass

Lol but yeah, that's how crazy good this band is, if a song doesn't blow your head off right away it becomes susceptible to criticism, they setted the standard too high for themselves

But theres nothing to complain about with the new track unless you just dont like the band.
Kind of a ridiculous hill to die on don't you think? This is a music discussion site and we're not here for a haircut. Also dismissive of the guys who 'like' the band, but are finding things to talk about; both sides of the argument. I mean, why talk about this at all. Everything's a 5/5, music doesn't exist...

New song isn't filler but it also leaves something to be desired.

the lead singles for the last 2 records were some of the weakest tracks on their respective albums so i aint worried. they savin the heavy hitters no doubt

New track bangs tho. Any good meshuggah track is a great track for me. Good b tier track. And yeah I'm sure their will be 5-6 stronger tracks on the album. .

Lol this thread, I feel like people analyse things to death on this site sometimes.
You know what you're gonna get with Meshuggah, so to complain about something that is inevitable is pointless.
|

Pleb you and I usually see eye to eye but I find that take wonky. Maybe someone who didn’t like previous Meshuggah material might like the execution more this time around? I, historically don’t like this band, but I want to take the chance and check out new stuff in hopes something clicks?

I'm just talking about the thread in general man, nothing directly to do with you at all.
Maybe I'm jaded with all this in depth analysis of music sometimes, maybe it's a slightly ignorant take but that's how I feel.
|
| |
Yeah, I didn’t take it personally or anything! I just don’t agree with that take, but that’s bound to happen. At least we still agree on Cradle!
