The vocal don't suck at all. They're pretty unique for sure and help define the band's sound, but I don't "love them" necessarily. In fact, they're my least favorite component of the band, but the songwriting, fusion of other genres, and musicianship is more than enough to compensate imo.

I think these guys could accomplish more with a different vocalist. Maybe not a melodic one but maybe more gruff or more like the band they pay heavy tribute to (Voivod).

No, I did. It's essentially saying "This is basically a 5 but it's too popular so 4.5 it stays to look cool". Rate it by how you enjoy the album, not by the reactions of your peers.

But beyond what you think I essentially say, I have heard this so much and and there's enough talent at play to 5 it. It just doesn't feel classic yet.
