Nope, pop punk is still poppy alternative rock with some really minor punk influence. I just got tired of talking about it.


yeah, its a subgenre of punk, pop music of the late 90's and early 2000's, and alt rock. i cant put it into simpler terms. if you cant understand this and still deny it then you argue against the existence of ever single sub genre in all of creation and clearly dont understand the term. you really are a challenged child arent you ars?

That's a little too extreme to be true. Especially since most sub-genres aren't as stagnant as pop punk.



Also, I acknowledge that pop punk has punk and pop influence (I never didn't do this,) but it's obviously far more similar to alternative rock than it is the other 2. That's my point, that was always my point, and I don't see how this isn't obvious.

It's a shame that people focus so much on the lyrics that they pass up on a perfectly talented band/artist just because of it.

It's also probably why pop music is evolved the way it did.

Everything is better in Live From The Basement, especially Bloom. This is still pretty good though, but their weakest since Pablo Honey.
