I think this is their best but Hell Songs is so close to a 5 at all times and s/t rules hard

This version of Daughters kinda stomps all over their fast, heavier stuff for me.

And I think this one is a bit more thoughtful and broader in scope than the S/T.

Early Daughters is just Lex jerking himself off, sometimes literally, over loud off key guitar riffs, this actually has a unique and very thoughtfully implemented sound where the instrumentation is just as important as the vocals, if not more so

Yeah, this is a lot richer and harrowing in tone than anything they've done before.

But I can't get enough of Nick's screechy, seasick guitar playing from Hell Songs and the self-titled

^ you said it Porc

the "thoughtfully crafted, harrowing soundscapes" never really did anything for me. felt a bit too repetitive at points

Patience, young Sledd. Production on this is phenomonal. The cyclical structures are hypnotizing. The musical chorus of Satan in the Wait with that beautiful guitar lead takes me places I've never been lol. Never heard anything like City Song. I'd listen to an album of dark ass, brutal industrial tunes like that.

"screechy, seasick guitar"

This is it. This sums up Hell Songs better than anything else could.

Ok but I haven’t heard it

And is it really heavier or is it just faster/more aggressive/the singer growls
