Well yeah, Lake has much more power and range in his voice.


Honestly I think Shine On sounds perfect the way it is. You can hear Gilmour singing it on post-Roger live recordings and it's just not as powerful.

Well I mean Lake has the range yeah but Gilmour's vocals just get to me like no others do so we'll just agree to disagree yeah

The post-live recordings are still great, but inferior; its not really because of Gilmour's vocals though its just they never play the full thing

Well no it seems we actually agree here. Lake has the range and technical ability and Gilmour has the emotion. Keep up Rowan.

I'm talking specifically about the vocal section, not the whole song.

ocd music listening has its ups and its downs

ups is that i can literally appreciate the good in any genre now/infinitely more open minded about music and it also is a key factor in my musical abilities i think

downs is that you forget about amazing records for years
