Yeah I don’t really think there’s a right or wrong answer, and tbh I think there’s some songs that sound better with the older production, but most I like more with the AWLWLB style going on. The title track, In Her Shadow, and First Light / Last Light all sound better on the original imo, but I think the riffier and more chaotic cuts all sound better with that extra clarity. Heartless, Drop Out, Death King, In Her Blood, and Hanging Moon benefit most from it imo

I almost kinda want a Jane Redux, I don’t think it will happen and nothing will ever replace the original for me but it would still be cool to have. I’d love to hear a more modern sounding Thaw, Bitter and Then Some, Heaven in Her Arms, and Phoenix in Flight especially would sound so cool in that style.

The Jane Live recording shows just how good some of these songs could potentially sound.

I've always thought Jane was the most in need of a Redux because it lacks the punch of their other records, especially in the drum department, but the band and most fans seem to think that's sacrilege. Jane Live sounds so good. I don't think Kurt will ever allow it to happen though. They seem aware of the status that record holds, so are unwilling to touch it.

Time to jam Jane Live!
