Russell Wilson is set to be released at the start of the league year. A sad end to what is likely a top 3 worst trade of all time. Only ones comparable are Herschel Walker and Deshaun Watson.



Honestly the Patriots might be smart to grab him for cheap on a 1 or 2 year deal and either have him start while a top 3 pick QB learns the league or sits behind the rookie and coaches him up. Although I fear the Raiders will grab him.

steelers should snatch him up. going 10-7 with kenny pickett and the traveling troubadours was unbelievable, having someone decent should help while they break in a new guy.

Defense actually improved significantly after that embarrassment. Wilson's ceiling was Carson Wentz on the Colts: if you glance at the stats, it seems to be okay, but if you watch the games, he was an overpaid bottom-tier game manager. Absolute flame out and what Russell gets for pushing all his chips betting on his ego.

yeah i feel like the defense was actually cooking the last half of the season which is what kept them semi relevant, russ certainly wasnt doing anything to help them win games. his stats are a mirage, but that 6.7 yds per attempt with an air yards per attempt of 6.3, which was 31st in the league.
