I don't understand how people are giving this album a 2 or 3. After albums like "Vermis" and "Shrines of Paralysis", this was a complete and utter breakthrough in song writing and technicality. It was really cool to see this band go from thrash-type music to an all out musical extravaganza. I, for one, loved this album. I felt like it was very well thought out, experimental for them, and the concept was original. Even if you didn't like this, it definitely deserves more than just a 2 or 3.

Bahahaha "thrash-type music"
Also, apparently if you don't like something, you should in fact like it anyway.

Imagine if! No that would just be too easy! Imagination and this album come in two forms; allies and enemies. There's enough material on here to say this album succeeds; good song writing, effortless melodic and rhythmic structure, dimensional vocal devlivery; but it fails to add another limb to the Ulcerate itself. So far it would be safe to say it has about three. So crippled and limping along, yet still with great power and enegry, this Ulcerate still packs enough grunt to turn heads, especially those who are just escaping their bad music teen years. An album that will polarise a few more Everything is Fire and The Destroyers of All fanatics, but an album that works all the same, and that's all that matters.
