I was a somewhat casual QOTSA fan when this came out and by the time I got to Vampyre, I knew that was about to change. This one was immediate for me.

Same; my friend who was a big fan got me into them, and SFTD quickly became one of my all time favs. This is also, especially in terms of music from this past decade.

SFTD has unparalleled longevity in my collection, 15 years and counting... still love it. This is remarkably good but quite different & I think it took a little time to accept the differences. Any time a band releases an all-time favourite it's tough not to just want the same again, again & again although in reality, deep down, I know that wouldn't be a good thing. Having said that it's still definitely got that QOTSA record vibe.

I'm really intrigued to see what they do next.

I Appear Missing is my favourite on here, maybe my favourite QOTSA track (close, anyway).

That, Song for the Deaf, and Better Living Through Chemistry are probably my top 3 by this band.

When this album was announced I was hyped to shit but then when I first heard My God... I was actually kinda disappointed and didn't like it much. Luckily it grew on me.

Yeah, My God... wasn't an instant hit with me either. I remember being underwhelmed.

Saw a list title on the front page and just got reminded of this. Did anything ever come out of that 20-5 shite? Sure doesn't seem like it lol
