this has a totally different feel than paranoid as literally anyone with a semblance of nuance of music understands given its A) obvious B) regarding two of the more popular albums in rock history
paranoid was much more a traditional sound and yeah felt more like "hits", this is more progressive and doom

Some of the solos here are literally just less interesting rips from Iron Man

Still love half this album, Sweet Leaf and Children of the Grave are some of their best tunes

i've never actually heard Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - this & vol 4 followed by Sabotage are my favorites tho. I just feel like those first two in particular are the albums where they really nailed what i love about Black Sabbath, versus Paranoid which was more of a revelation, but still sounds like only the beginning to me. obviously overexposure to half the songs before I was even into the band didn't really help much, but I still at least like it

yeah i was kinda surprised with how good Sabotage was considering I only ever seem to hear about the first 4 albums - at least up until entering this thread! gonna get on that SBS soon, and even though (or perhaps because) Never Say Die & Technical Ecstacy haven't even been mentioned on this page, i'm curious as hell to hear what those are all about

those are the last 2 w/ Ozzy right? (barring 13, obv)
interested to hear 2 albums considered to be such hard immediate drop-offs from the previous catalog

another hard 5 sabbath classic for me
very different album with lot's of progressiveness, if you keep an open mind you will love it

And for good reason too. Decent hard rock albums but nothing all too special.

Indeed. I think they're worth checking. As I said, first three on NSD are great just like You Won't Change Me and Dirty Women on TE but the rest of those albums is ugh.
They have my favorite Sabbath artworks though
