I def agree with the highest of highs part.

The only song I kind of dislike on NS is Breathe, but there's two or three songs from this and Blueprints I don't ever listen to, as well.

New Surrender is literally the one I just skip when listening through the discog.

It's got some of their beat songs. I.e. Breaking if you ask me.

Breaking is an underrated gem. A lot of people seem to pass on NS but it has some of their best singles.

I also always forget how long these albums have been around for, relatively. 12 years for Cities, 11 for New Surrender. Or really how frequently they put out music in their heyday. Two years between releases felt so long when I was younger haha

I think new surrender has better songwriting than this tbh. This hasn't aged as well as I'd hoped but I do still have fond memories of listening to it in high school when I travelled to Disney world with my at the time gf

Honestly I agree with it not aging that well Gyro, but I keep it 5'd purely out of how much I used to like it.

Yeah, I genuinely think Vital might be my favorite of theirs, but I can’t listen to this without associating the love I’ve always had for it, so I can’t ever see myself dropping it.

Vital is second best after this, in my opinion.

It's a pretty consistent back and forth for me. I think that Vital is better songwriting wise and more consistent, but I don't think it has the emotional highs Cities packs.

He is honestly a singer that I can't blame people disliking. I think he's phenomenal, but I get why people would be put off by his tone/timbre.

Vital has amazing songs and hooks on it but I hate the production of it. Still a solid 4 for me though

Yeah, the production is what kinda holds it back. This and NTFP are their best.
