I remember stumbling upon vermis and not getting/ hating it when it came out. I was more of a prog guy then too. Only with shrines they got me. Keep at it dude. Maybe youll come back to it and get hooked some time later.

I don't know that I've totally moved beyond it, that's basically what Lunarsea is and they're one of my favorite bands. Just finding the heavier/more technical stuff more satisfying on average these days.

While the whole "Lord of the Necklaces" thing seems a bit much (like, verging on feeble troll territory), I've been listening to this a ton and some of it can get a little homogeneous. There are definitely some parts of "Dissolved Orders" that remind me of "Visceral Ends" or "Drawn".
Idk, I really like a lot of what's on here though
