Wrong, I'm indifferent to this band. I dislike rock/metal music in general, it's inferior to electronica. I just think they're objectively legendary and all the losers who pretend otherwise are kind of annoying.

I'm gonna have to agree with Base that, at least now-a-days, people who hate on Tool are more numerous and annoying than any actual Tool fans. I used to be one of the typical Tool fans in my teens. Just loved everything about the band. Got older, grew out of it, but still respect the music. The meme-y hate on the band makes me cringe harder than any pretentious BS a Tool fan could say.

the meme-y hate on this band is kinda funny. there are many more open targets that deserve it if we're being honest. Tool have a lot of artistic credability so I find it kind of odd really. they're no Emmure, like at all XD.

Well, it's not like anybody takes Tool haters seriously... tbh most young Americans were deluded into hating their own country and culture by Noam Chomsky and other neo-marxist intellectuals / communist moles. The fact that they hate their greatest artists is not surprising at all.
As far as I know, people in Europe generally respect Tool, and see it as a modern equivalent of King Crimson or Pink Floyd, which frankly, that's exactly what they are.

The section between 4:06-7:12 of Third Eye sounds like a living breathing organism and is ominous as fuck, and yes, no other band can even dream of writing and executing music on this level.
