It seems to me that you're saying only a 5 is a high enough rating for an album you love and anything lower means you don't love it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's certainly what this seems imply:

3.5 - "It's great, but I don't love it"
4.0 - "It's excellent, but I still don't love it"
4.5 - "It's superb, and I'm starting to love it"
5.0 - "It's classic and I love it."

Yes, but now I see that to say you "love" something is also incredibly subjective, so that doesn't hold any weight. Who's to judge what love is and what it's not? It could just be infatuation, blind lust, liking... Idk.
