Yeah I'll try to archive it somewhere. If I ever get into metal I'm gonna realize I missed out on thinking this was a big deal aren't I

Symbolic is amazing but nothing brings the raw intensity like this does.

Well I like them both for different reasons, of course.
And is Symbolic not death metal? Yeah, it has progressive elements but it's certainly death metal imo.

Yeah my other favorites are Pierced From Within, Blessed Are the Sick, Legion, Colored Sands, and probably some Dying Fetus album

@Jay - True, they are different but they're still the same genre. So saying they're both my favorite death metal albums is accurate imo

For sure Lucca, never heard of anyone question Death as a death metal band? Isn’t the name of the genre stemmed from their band name? Lmao.

Symbolic's problem is that it's just kind of boneless. Definitely death metal though.

i love Symbolic, the vox are pretty bad though, brings it down from a 4.5 to a 4 for me. theyre that distracting.

Yeah, that combined with the fact that the riffing takes a downturn from Human and ITP on half of the tracks.

I actually love the vocals on all Death records tbh. I like the older old school days and the newer raspier ones, but I guess that's just a personal thing.
No idea how anyone could complain about the riffs though, that album has some of my favorite riffage of all time.

I don't mind Symbolic's vocals, although I prefer how Chuck sang in "The Sound Of Perseverance"
