I had to break this down for my musician friend a little while back. All “extreme” music is cheesy. He was having like, a creative crisis, talking about how he hadn’t written anything in months because he felt like it was all corny. Dude is wicked talented and was talking about not writing music anymore because it all felt cringe. And I was just like dude our favorite kind of music is the most cringe shit ever. We’re a bunch of grown men (m/////) screaming about our emotions over cool riffs. You gotta accept that and role with it.

It's strange but the first three or four years I listened to Slayer all I had was the 'Decade of Aggression' double album.



I heard mostly live versions for all the early Slayer material first - that was a quality album though.
