i think it's sort of interlude-y, but it's actually quite catchy and a lot of fun tbh. i think people just gripe it because it interrupts the flow of the album or something.
i hope they go back to this style for their new album. koi has some great tracks but overall was meh. the guitar riffs all sound the exact same and the melodies don't even come remotely closer to hole in the earth or beware or cherry.
