"Pushit is pretty easily their best song though"
No, it's dumb. Maybe for weak Tool outsiders and people with no standards, yes.
Same situation we got with the people who say Euology is their best song. They hear some Jesus insults, their two neuros think it's funny, and then they say "this song is insane! but damn, are Tool fans dumb or what!".
Both of these songs are trash by Tool's standards.

Pushit is good. Parabola is cringe.

Trve. Spiritual enlightenment is overrated, It's all pseudo intellectual mumbo-jumbo to me. Anger comes from a real place though. I feel ya.

What can you teach us about anger?

Apparently this is one of Grimes' favourite albums. I hope Elon Musk hears this, we might get to mars.

pushit is
1) not their best song
2) inferior to the live version
It's not even the best song of the same name

Eh, I'll never understand why Americans love Pushit so much, it's a special song but definitely not magnum opus material for Tool.
imo Wings Pt. 2, Reflection, Lateralus, Third Eye, Invincible are their best songs (and secretly Vicarious). Pushit is a 2nd tier Tool song, very close to 1st tier, but not quite there, kinda like The Grudge.

Pushit is my favorite Tool song. I just love the middle of that song.

Eulogy is a very interesting song in Tool's discography because the lyrics could very easily apply it to Tool fans

I don't know which social or media circles any of you circulate, but I swear I've seen more people annoyingly complain about Tool fans than I've seen actual annoying Tool fans.

At this point, the "annoying Tool fans" is a meme/myth that was propagated by people who were incapable of getting into Tool. A prime example of the Dunning-Kruger effect = not smart enough to understand why so many people love this band? ahhh, they must be DUMB! and you, the special little snowflake that represents the minuscule minority that doesn't like them must be the INTELLIGENT one. It's true, hating this band makes them feel mature, because in real life they know very well they're mere asshats.
Always inspect the Tool critic's musical taste before arguing with them, 99% of the time it's trash, and 1% it's just some pretentious virgin in his 20s, acting high and mighty, like he's a music scholar (but in reality an idiot, I guarantee), just pretending to like atonal nonsense for credibility points.
Sure, I am not going to deny that Tool has their share of obsessive fans, and they're rather numerous, but look at it this way.. when your favorite band happens to be one of the greatest of all time, what's not be obsessive about? There are sooo many artists with much worse fans, mainly because they're average artists. From the top of my head: Radiohead, Sufjan Stevens, David Bowie, Kendrick Lamar, more recently.
