"OP and this are by a country mile the band's most coherent releases and that's why I like them the best."

This ^^^

Also yeah that EP with Patton was as sick as OP and this album imo

patton ep is one of their best works too. Ire Works is severely underrated, dillinger did a lot of cool shit on there.

Pretty much, DEP's discography has so much to offer with such high quality. Also there's too much MM love on this thread for my liking.

tbh im not really digging this new song of theirs. drums and production sorta putting me off and I feel like it doesn't really go anywhere.

Honestly the new track is a disappointment for me as well (note I still think it's great). Meh production and it really doesn't have any qualities that make it stand out from the rest. Look at other mid paced songs they've had which are much better: Prancer had touches of madness with Greg's most angry performance yet, Milk Lizard had an awesome fun and carefree feel with charisma (+ dat horns) and Dead as History had a sence of chilling atmosphere and large then life feel. The new track for me is just a standard, mid paced aggression fest for their quality discography despite it being pretty great.
