At this point, I realize what makes this work so well is the rough edges. If it were cleaner, less nutty, it would be crap, like modern prog rock *pew pew*. In all seriousness, modern Yes falls so, so short, because the friction that birthed stuff like this is just gone now. Modern Yes sounds indistinguishable from all their imitators.
