The buildup and ending for Out of Luck is very good

I really hope it sounds better on my home system than my work headphones, it makes me not wanna listen to it again.

yea out of luck is my pick for "best post reunion underoath song". front half is so immersive and the back end is absolutely fuckin massive

This feels like the Hushed & Grim thread all over again

I really don't get the gripes about the production lol

as a resident production griper i kinda envy that lol would be an easier existence

@Rowan yeah somehow the way Spencer delivers that “this is fucking hell” line is so perfect and juicy, it’s a great song overall but that repeating choir line is a bit overdone and kinda has BMTH vibes

The production sounds a bit muddy, but I do think the complaining is a bit over the top.

I like the choir bit tbh. reminds me of Simple Math for some reason, I can see why it would wear on people
I don't think I would have much of a problem with the production if I hadn't been jamming Digital Ghost for a week prior lol. going from a mix that much clearer to what's on the album is hella jarring. I think the only song that's actually degraded by it is We're All Gonna Die tho, the rest just sound a bit muddier

idk bros not into how the drums/guitars/bass sound at all here and the vocal mixing/layering gets weird a handful of places too, altho yea its definitely exaggerated by digital ghost which sounded great

New album is surprisingly good. Cycle and Out of Luck are the clear smokes
Production is a little weird in spots for sure

Idk, just listened to Digital Ghost version of Cycle and still not hearing the muddiness here but whatevs

new one is good so far but the production still feels muddy to me
they toned down the r/atheism cringe in their lyrics a good bit and the songwriting is miles better than Erase Me

Feeling a solid 3.9 on it right now

"The mix sounds amazing to me, what do you not like about it jamdbz..??"
It just sounds flat and lifeless to me, especially after hearing the live mix in Digital Ghost. It doesn't ruin the album too much for me as it's kind of a minor gripe. "Mad as hell" might've been a little dramatic lol

new one starts off strong, loses some steam in the second half, and then closes strong.
Nothing here is close to DTGL/LITSOS/Disambig's highlights, but also nothing is close to Erase Me's biggest missteps. Hard 3.5.

I feel like the production is the least of Voyeurists' problems but even then the complaints are warranted. Damn Excuses is the heaviest song they've wrote since reforming and it has absolutely no impact lmfao. Shit hits like a pillow. Not to mention its just such a bland song overall.

I'll check the new one at some point, but it definitely won't be today lol. I'm just not hyped AT ALL about it. Multiple times I completely forgot it was even a thing, which sucks because they used to be one of my favorite bands.
Glad that people are at least enjoying it though, that's a good sign.
