I'm not a fan of the remasters. It's probably just because I've listened to the originals so many times. The reissued panopticon vinyl sounds fantastic though.

Given how remasters are usually a compressed mess and a bad gimmick to get $$$ the ones Isis put out are superb. Not only they sound as dynamic as the originals (if not more even), they also managed to achieve a cleaner and clearer sound. All of the albums sound better to me, more spacious and reflective in their open atmosphere. Drums specially benefited a lot from these remasters.
