He never solo'd like Rudess. I wish Rudess would stop wanking so much, he's an incredible musician otherwise

Well Emerson is one of his biggest influences. If Rudess wanks while his whole set up floated around

the arena then maybe he'd be at Emerson level

keyboard wank is some of my least favorite so i'd be happy if it was kept to a minimum. opeth have done a good job of doing that so far, but if they started getting to DT levels of wank i'd be pissed

I don't think it would ever get to that level. Opeth is still pretty guitar driven.

I hope there is a keyboard solo section or two on the new album. As disjointed as heritage was it was still a great album. But the one in Burden is very well done.

I wouldn't really want (more) keyboard solos in Opeth's sound tbh.

It seems no one knows the name of the current Opeth keyboardist lol.

Be interesting to see what Opeth do on the next record, would be sweet if they want down a 'jazzy' route.

I think Opeth incorporates it's keyboard in a really tasteful manner for the most part which compliments their sound so I really wouldn't change the way in which they use it.

Also if Axenrot's drum performance is anywhere near as good as it was on Heirtage I'll be happy.

Ye, his drum performance on here is pretty dull save for Hessian Peel and Lotus Eater.

yeah the drumming is one of the few aspects I enjoy about Heritage. I hope they bring back some of that dark, bleak atmosphere for their newest album.

Drumming on here is good it's just that he's on a whole other level on Heritage, easily one of my favourite drum performances
ever.

Heritage was pretty jazzy in some parts so I hope they (Axe in particular) build on that.
