even his work on animals is absolutely stellar. not sure how much of it was written for him or if he came up with it himself.

The key ingredient is probably Wright.

But I like Waters' solo stuff a lot more than Gilmour's.

'Gilmour was lucky to play solos on these songs. Listen to his solo albums and PF albums without Waters, then you will see how clear the case is.'

I find Gilmour's vocals and tasteful solos to be present throughout all their albums. No question that Waters is an incredible songwriter, but Gilmour carried majority of the weight in this band in my opinion. Also, what dominion said haha. The whole is usually always greater than the sum of its parts, especially with these boys.

Feel free to show me a handful of Waters post-Floyd material that can rival On The Turning Away, Learning To Fly, High Hopes, or Lost For Words.....I'd love to hear them.

@Rowan......agreed buddy

"On The Turning Away, Learning To Fly, High Hopes, or Lost For Words."

I only listen to High Hopes out of these. It's just some nice, chill melodies, bordering on average - pretty sure we would never have heard those songs if Gilmour hadn't been in PF.

Pros and Cons and Amused To Death are just more entertaining, ambitious and plain talented.

I think he means High Hopes is the only one of those he chooses to listen to... I could be wrong though.

Indeed. Calm down, Titan. But I see now I should have worded it better.

Now, back to realizing Waters is the better songwriter.

"Now, back to realizing Waters is the better songwriter."

I don't think that's even open to debate. It goes without saying.
