I hear a lot of praise regarding this album that is honestly more applicable to an album like Deception Ignored which came out in the same exact year.

Well no, because you've never heard it any other way lol
And you probably never will because a remix will never happen. They can remaster it as much as they want but ultimately the problems are in the mix and the original tracks are completely destroyed by now. So this is what we're stuck with. Frankly, it's still amazing but the story of the production will always frustrate me.
