Thorn is the best UO joint since Paper Lung

Thorn, Out of Luck and Have No Friends, and We're Gonna Die are awesome. Cycle is still fucking crazy good. Everything else is just so unimpressive to me. I guess its better than Erase Me but thats like being fed unseasoned chicken after being forcefed a dookie sandwich.

4 songs in so far. Damn Excuses is a pretty standard Underoath opener and a great track, but Hallelujah is abysmally repetitive and annoying. Out of Luck seemed like a pretty cool experimental track...the phone calls in the beginning were minorly irritating but it gets better as it goes. Cycle was intense and blew me away; definitely seemed like the best song out of those four so that has me excited to continue.

Listened through twice now and I’m really pleased with this overall. Numb is the only real stinker here honestly, but even that one has salvageable moments. Damn Excuses works well as an opener, I’m Pretty Sure is a cool/weird track and I love the nonlinear structure of it, Cycle starts rough but gets great by the end, Thorn kicks ass, No Oasis is a classic oddball underoath interlude, and Pneumonia is the best track they’ve written in the past 10 years. Album is an easy 4, the songwriting is a big step up from Erase Me and everyone’s performances absolutely kick ass all around. They sound inspired and energetic, gotta love it.

I just finished Voyeurist. The only songs that I found cheesy were Hallelujah and We're All Gonna Die, the rest was top tier Underoath. Out of Luck, Cycle, Thorn, and Pneumonia are particularly excellent.

New album is great, but the bar was also on the floor after Erase Me. Still mad as hell about the shit mix on it

It’s a shame they added that down-pitched voice on Numb because otherwise this track is actually really solid. We’re All Gonna Die has some dumb lyrics, but otherwise that one is really good too.
My only other complaint here is the length. 38 minutes feels premature, and I was actually shocked when I heard Pneumonia come on because I was expecting to hear at least 2 more new songs before I heard that one (knowing it was the closer)

It sounds muddy to me a minute or so into the first song. Can't judge until I hear it at home tho.

I remain baffled by the reception to Hallelujah - shit bangs. you are lying to yourself if that "this is fucking HEEEELL" doesn't make you want to run through a wall

I hated it haha. The chorus is annoying and super repetitive. The last repetition at the end is especially unnecessary.

i tried meeting hallelujah halfway but i j cant get behind that chant in the slightest. one of only like 3 skips for me tho (we're all gonna die and numb being the others but numb coulda been a solid song without all its confusing prod choices) so ill take it
