hate to say I told you so...again. rough. the folly of a "player's coach", when they have to actually coach they usually make the wrong decision

"Chiefs 49ers Super Bowl is the most boring matchup ever"

I mean would watching the lions get blown out by the chiefs make it any less boring? neither of the nfc teams would have had a chance imo.

Chiefs are incapable of scoring points. If it’s a blowout, it’s like 17-3, which is even worse

at least the Lions would've made it. can't imagine the office is very happy with Campbell not being able to break the curse.

I mean. I think they have a bright few years ahead of them between Jared Goff balling out, LaPorta and Gibbs. That secondary needs work though…

'Chiefs are incapable of scoring points. If it’s a blowout, it’s like 17-3, which is even worse'

weird take, the Ravens D has dominated teams at home to a ridiculous degree. 17 points isn't 'incapable' and I get the feeling if Lamar and co. had been competent enough in the big moments to put 20 on the board, Chiefs probably score 23 or 24. They played it pretty conservatively and used all their experience to see the game out. The Chiefs would've likely shredded the Lions secondary.

People love to play the copium game with the Chiefs, they either get 'all the calls' or 'lucky' that the other team blew it. Maybe they're just quite good? lol

and yeah, disappointing for sure that the Lions lost that lead, but don't let that cloud the fact they had a great run / season. This is something to build upon and they can get better with a couple of fixes (the secondary being the biggest one). Experience in deep playoff runs is underrated too. This will serve them well to have made it, even losing

Ok "incapable" was hyperbole, but they've been incredibly mediocre at 15th (22.1 pts) in PPG this entire season and have leaned on their defense to win games. Really underwhelming with Mahomes at the helm. He's talking about the chiefs blowing out the lions and the chiefs have not been doing much of that this season.

I just said this matchup is boring. That's all I was saying

absolutely embarrassing display by lamar and the offense yesterday, just no other way to put it. so many personal fouls too on both sides of the ball.

really feels like the chiefs have that brady-pats effect now where the opposing team collectively loses 30 IQ points when they face them in the playoffs. it's uncanny. the bills ran for like 200yds on the chiefs last week, so the ravens of course decide to hand the ball off a total of eight (8) times.

The Ravens D give the offense all the chances in the world, playcalling and Lamar laying a massive egg ultimately decided the contest--which isn't necessarily to take away from a pretty dominant Chief's defensive performance either, especially their secondary. Am amazed at how little they tried to get their RBs involved.

As much as I wanted the Lions & Ravens to go at it, the former choked + had some serious bad luck, while the latter had every opportunity available and proved they still can't close the deal. Disappointing results but sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles.

Admittedly a boring match-up but I'm probably hoping for Niners to win.

I blame the OLine for the Ravens loss the most, no wonder they only handed off 8 times because the OLine was legit losing immediately on almost every snap. Jackson, as agile as he is, can’t do anything if he has 1-2 rushers in his face after merely completing his dropback.

Also Zay Flowers getting instant karma after the taunting was the icing on the cake. Kid lost his cool big time.

There were a lot of plays where it felt like Lamar and Mahomes had forever and a day to complete a pass, not sure if it's entirely on the OLine. And I still think you have to try something more with the rushing attack rather than folding after running only a handful of designed run plays.

also i don't really subscribe to the idea that lamar's failures come down to him still not being a good passer. feel like he showed beyond a shadow of a doubt this year he could shred teams from the pocket (which is largely why the ravens got here in the first place and he is winning a second mvp)... which makes yesterday's performance all the more head scratching.

washington hiring dan quinn feels extremely underwhelming wow. amazing dc but dude proved himself to be completely out of his element the second shanahan left atlanta.

dallas's defense feels destined to take a step back now too as a result.
