After 15 spins over a week or so I was pretty sure I was gonna kill this.

But it's just killing me instead.

Weeb pop for distractible metalheads who thought they were over nu metal. When Grimes
plundered the kawaii-niverse to chalk up cheap points for 'innovation' with lazy U.S. critics over
Art Angels, she must have thought it was common sense to leave out the Babymetal. Nice 1-
upmanship, Poppy. Pretty inoffensive, a few cool left-turns, and an overall decent run of dumb
fun.

Ulcerate's 2020 record "Stare Into Death and Be Still" is a bit on the dry side for EDM, and "The Sound of Silence" is clearly a piano ballad. Still, one has to admire the dedication of a human being who, for all intents and purposes, spends his life living as an artist instead of a messenger, a sentence that seems particularly apt in the era of Hitler's ideas about 'creative destruction.'

What? Someone genuinely wrote that?

Same. I like their old stuff but it was all just so dissonant that I couldn't get through a whole album without frying my brain. This is sick though
