Definetely the kindest! Just thought he would prefer ethereal/ spiritual/ besutifull tool over rockin/ fun tool. Don t get wrong, Aenima is fantastic! Just find a weird Trif choice for n1, from what I knew about him.

Cosmic Pie - I told you ;)

This might be my least fave Tool record but these are by FAR my fave Tool solos, they are fucking immaculate.

there's just nothing bringing me back to this record :/

lots of people seem okay with this album being so by-the-books, but imo what made tool's old albums so good was how out of bounds they were/still are.

Not at all, noler needs a hug.

Some people are clearly sad about this album and we should be there for them.

We were close to a revolution in site culture there. Glad we squashed that.

Undertow playing right now, that's what I'm missing in current Tool! Some joy, some urgency, some less pretentious vibes.

Agreed Pika, I like it more than the latest three records.

I guess I'm an old-Tool kind of guy then.

You guys bath in incoherency when it comes to Tool. Its like I don t know you anymore sometimes lol I guess those are common choices when you don't see (or don't want to) Tool as a special band then...like you praising them when resemble more to other bands/ genres, like in Undertow, or when they goofy out in Intermission.

I mean whata fuck is wrong with being serious or spiritual in music? I m sure you do that to other bands and you don't call them pretensious, and I wouldn't too...to say something is pretentious when others take the full out of the experience is an easy way out imo.

These are just preferences man! Nothing more, nothing less. You prefer the newer Tool, I guess I prefer earlier Tool.

Also, they aren't pretentious or unpretentious, it's just simply that to me the newer ones come off as a little pretentious while to you they resonate on a spiritual level.

That s a different thing to say brother...my remark was about walking around the threads saying this destroys that, this is their best...well its nothing but preferences...and this time often coming from some people new/ that don t give a shit about the band...so that s a regularity in behaviour.

I prefer all Tool. Undertow is music from when I was teenager which I still deeply respect because I still consider is really well done, despite 2/3 fillers.
