Radiohead 'Amnesiac' thread... very good album. Always was so. Anyway, click on that, find all sorts:
"Tbh i don't think things would have been nearly as drastic if he had ranted against another minority"
Yes, it would.
"For example, would things have played out even remotely the way they did, had he ranted against Muslims?"
Yep, but that's not part of the "international Jewish conspiracy" ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Jewish_conspiracy ) that fuckers like Ye often concern themselves with.
Using a platform to blurt Nazi shit/actively encourage violence upon a whole race of people shouldn't cause surprise if they're suddenly dropped from sponsorships and such. I'm surprised this needs explanation.

"For example, would things have played out even remotely the way they did, had he ranted against Muslims?"
that's prob the only minority group he could've gotten less of a negative reaction for ranting about
nba and nfl players tweet anti-semetic shit all the time with zero consequences... shit is basically ingrained in US culture

^ I’m from the U.K., I really enjoy basketball as a game, but can only name LeBron James as a current player. NFL means fuck-all to me. Kanye, whether you like him or not, is a household name here. He’s transcended his field, to the point of legit holding hopes to becoming fucking POTUS.
Musicians on the whole, are more likely to reach a wider audience over sports-ball players, because the latter generally do their talking on the playing field, those in music (especially rappers/singers) literally communicate directly to the audience via their output, and therefore connect closer on a personal level. That’s why this carries a weight beyond that of most celebufucks.

I preferred RH thread discourse when it was actually about RH, even if it was full of shitty takes like people preferring The Bends to this era

Who besides Doof thinks THE BENDS is better than this era

What do you mean by “this era”? Because I like The Bends better than Amnesiac but Kid A better than The Bends.

Pain
|
| |
Pain indeed. Picking THE BENDS over anything aside from PABLO HONEY is nearly incomprehensible in this day and age. Musty-cellar-core.
|
| |
baby's got the bends oh no
|
| |
If someone picked the bends over ok comp or a moon shaped poo that would be pretty based. Based and not a fact but based nonetheless.
|
| |
i'd probably take the Bends over Moonshit tbh, despite the Bends having all the absolute worst songs between the two

The Bends is better than Pablo Honey but these days I’d rather listen to the latter in it’s entirety tbh

did you guys see that moon shaped pool doesnt shorten to moon shaped poo on the front page anymore
