It doesn't really do that for me as much as some other tracks in their discog, it's more of a neckbreaker for me compared to most of their other stuff, but that intro (after the opening tremolo riff) is beautiful.

Have to agree with Art, those Pale Companion and Embers might be better. I didn't care much for Black Lake first, but after really absorbing that whole ambient section on multiple listens, it really clicked. It seems like no band like this except Agalloch would make a song like that, which makes me love and appreciate it even more. I hope one of the bands that came from their break-up tries out more weird stuff like that.
