i've heard a lot of people say that, or "Still Life", or "Blackwater Park". i heard "Orchid" and "Morningrise". they were 4's.

I shamefully admit that i've tried to get into Ghost Reveries and failed, recently.

On my defense, Damnation is a hard 3.5, and Watershed a balanced 3.5

I know the question wasn't for me, but i felt like being part of that haha

Dat solo in "Flourish" about halfway through the song. I could eat it with a spoon. Lolz. But for real.

Flourish & Oscillator are just mindblowingly eargasmic in every sense of the word. I have literally transcended the limitations of time & space whilst listening to them under the influence of illicit substances. Both in at least my top 50 songs of all time.

I have no idea how that same band managed to churn out the steaming pile of mediocrity that is Intrinsic. I'm hopeful, but honestly just not sure what to expect for their next release...

I liked Intrinsic. "Feedback Loop" is one of my favorites by Contortionist. But still I do think that Exoplanet is better.

It's not an awful album in itself - Holomovement, Causality & Cortical are great tracks - that's why it's still a 3 for me.

But it's just that it's such a devastatingly abysmal disappointment in direct comparison to the dizzying heights this reached tbh.

Their guitarist is such beast.

Yeah, makes sense. At least on here. A lot of the big names have hardly any votes.

Is it weird that the cleans on this album remind me so much of Oceana's (I guess now Polyenso's) album The Tide.

This is great thinking/drinking music
