"It's kind of unfortunate how it even affects other bands like Believer who really should have both Sanity Obscure and Dimensions recognized as classics. "

yeee just started hearing them, this is much better than paranoid but that rules too. Vol. 4 kicks ass too. I heard a bit of SBS but i didn't like the synthy direction but oh well. what should i check next? I was guessing the debut

To think that Sabbath was unaware when they did their first 6 that they would be one of the most influential bands in rock...

Debut is different from the rest, slower heavier vibe, you should dig it, I love Sabatoge; their last great album

I love debut through Sabatoge like children Sirlord, this is my least fave, but only becasue I didnt get enough BS on this disc too much messing around, needed to squeeze in one more classic.

Bass players who write the songs always makes for great music, and with a swinging jazz drummer to lighten up the heaviness, couldnt be more perfect

of the original band

yes H&H is a classic but not only the singer, but the playing is so different, updated sound, gone where the days of stuff like "The Writ" dark psyche. But in the Pepsi challenge H&H would stand up

this. it's like they said "we've got 5 or 6 killer cuts but that's not enough for a full lp. What can we throw in here to get to 8?"

don't get me wrong the 5 strongest tracks here are monsters which is why it's so good but it's not as well rounded as paranoid

At the end of the day, I have to say they're equal. Choosing one over the other all the time is nigh impossible.
