i have almost zero interest in listening to kanye's music these days
dude's grown so toxic its ruined even his classic stuff for me (that i had already way overplayed anyways)... and yeah i'm a believer in separating art from the artist but kanye's personality is far too intertwined with his music for that to really be possible
edit: did not realize that was a three month old discussion i just chimed it on lmaooo

Lmao
I couldn't care less about the so called drama, his music is undisputable

Your loss, but aight

Idk size, separating art from artist is one thing but calling what’s going on “so called drama” is questionable

Di he say questionable stuff? Yes, but from day one. Was it blown out of proportions? Ohhh yes

I also highly disagree with some of the views of Steven Wilson, doesn't mean that i can't enjoy his music

idk stuff like CD and LR in particular just have this dark cloud of "this guy goes on to contradict just about everything he just rapped out in the ugliest way possible" now
and mbdtf and yeezus come off less like an exaggeration of his media perceived persona and more like he was selling his shitty-ness short
the anti-semitism shit has just crossed the point of no return for me. even r/kanye is starting to turn on him and they're some of the worst stans i've ever seen for any artist anywhere

Why are we talking about Kanye in the Amnesiac thread
|

Album Rating: 4.5
Because both Radiohead and Kanye are living memes

"Why are we talking about Kanye in the Amnesiac thread"
because he's a reasonable man

I had to do it to them

@size for the second time, no one said you can’t or shouldn’t listen to his music. Just that your comments reducing his statements to being “blown out of proportion” are questionable. Steven Wilson’s views don’t have to do with/don’t encourage/literally manifest violence towards a particular group. Kanye’s views do. Listen to whatever you want, but don’t pretend Kanye hasn’t crossed a line here, it’s dangerous rhetoric

That's your take on it, and that's fine enough. Tbh i don't think things would have been nearly as drastic if he had ranted against another minority, but that's just me. Let's agree to disagree

For example, would things have played out even remotely the way they did, had he ranted against Muslims? I can't even imagine any scenario like that. That's the main argument, why things have been blown out of proportion imo

“That itchy feeling when you’re unshowered is so gross, no thanks, showers 4 me!”
Drives me bananas. Like I’m Pig-pen from Peanuts. If I could swim any direction but downward and could breathe under water, I’d commandeer an aquarium and live in the tanks

@size yikes dude I’ve always liked you but your comments here are misguided. Encourage you to read more about these issues and examine whatever biases you may carry yourself

Welp, it seems you don't really like a argumentative discourse. I'm disappointed myself, i always imagined you take different viewpoints into consideration. Whatever "biases" you may see are nonexistent, i just find it really remarkable that suddenly this is the thing that Kanye gets canceled over

Also unlike you i don't call people cetain labeling terms such as "misguided", just because maybe i have one opinion that is somewhat outside of the norm. If you had known me as a person you wouldn't even think of that, but if it makes you happier to label me that go ahead i guess
